Hockey here at Golborne is as strong as ever with both our teams continuing to enjoy their hockey.

The 2009/10 season will be Golborne's 39th season in operation and it will also see our second season with our Sponsors, the SUHANA INDIAN and BENGALI restaurant, 81 High Street, Golborne. An influx of players over the summer has brought strength and depth to our existing squad and so the 2009/10 season is full of promise and high expectation.

Both of our Firsts (Div8N) and Seconds (Div9S) are looking to reap the rewards of the squad system this season, with both teams looking towards promotion. This is not going to be easy, and so we are looking for commitment and dedication, but least of all we need to remember we play our hockey to enjoy it.

As a club built on stable foundations we are lucky to have both experience and youth in our ranks, and with enjoyment and development uppermost in our ethos we will surely have a good season.

Hockey at Golborne has always been based on a squad of players enjoying a game of Hockey.
